The complete trailer for Deadpool 3 was revealed at the Super Bowl 2024, offering an initial glimpse of Wolverine.

“Deadpool & Wolverine” is an upcoming superhero film in the American cinematic landscape, centered around the Marvel Comics characters Deadpool and Wolverine. The movie is a collaborative production effort involving Marvel Studios, Maximum Effort, and 21 Laps Entertainment, with distribution handled by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Positioned as the 34th installment in the expansive Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), this film serves as a direct sequel to both “Deadpool” (2016) and “Deadpool 2” (2018).

During the live stream of the Super Bowl 2024, viewers were treated to the first glimpse of Deadpool 3, officially titled “Deadpool and Wolverine,” in an exciting new trailer. The fan-favorite foul-mouthed superhero seems set to join forces with some familiar faces to navigate the challenges of the multiverse.

The trailer, unveiled on Sunday, confirmed earlier speculations about the Time Variance Authority, the inter-dimensional bureaucrats featured in the Loki TV series on Disney Plus, playing a crucial role in Deadpool’s upcoming adventure.

This film marks Deadpool’s introduction to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, making him Disney’s inaugural R-rated superhero. “Deadpool and Wolverine” is scheduled to hit theaters on July 25, 2024. For a sneak peek, be sure to watch the trailer below.

The trailer opens with a lively birthday celebration featuring Deadpool (played by Ryan Reynolds), Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand), Colossus (voiced by Stefan Kapicic), and various non-mutant characters from the previous two films. However, the festivities are abruptly interrupted as agents from the Time Variance Authority (TVA) burst in, putting an unexpected halt to the revelry. Remarkably, within the first thirty seconds, Deadpool is already breaking the fourth wall, adding his signature touch to the unfolding events.

“Pegging isn’t a novelty for me, pal, but it sure is for Disney,” he quips.

Guided through the Time Variance Authority (TVA) by the new character Paradox (played by Matthew Macfadyen), Deadpool receives the familiar spiel about the multiverse’s fate hanging in the balance, a narrative thread consistent with recent Marvel entries. In his characteristic Deadpool manner, he eagerly gears up to confront adversaries, dubbing himself “Marvel Jesus” and launching into a frenzied assault. The trailer concludes with a brief glimpse of Hugh Jackman reprising his role as Wolverine, taking a swing at Deadpool before the scene abruptly transitions to the title card.

“Deadpool and Wolverine” stands out as a flagship release in an otherwise notably dry year for Marvel. Positioned as the sole big-screen offering from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in the current year, the film promises the return of Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. The Hollywood Reporter previously revealed Jennifer Garner’s return as Elektra, reprising her role from 20th Century Fox’s “Daredevil” and the standalone “Elektra” movie.
