New Leak Reveals Potential Release Date for Samsung Galaxy Ring — Get Ready for Its Arrival!
A Korean publication suggests the Samsung Galaxy Ring might come out in July. This device was first revealed during Samsung’s January 2024 Galaxy Unpacked event and will be Samsung’s first ring-shaped health monitor.

ETNews recently wrote about the growing interest in health-focused ring wearables. They mentioned that the Galaxy Ring could launch at a Galaxy Unpacked event in late July. This event might also reveal the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6.

ET News not only mentioned a possible release date but also shared some details about the Galaxy Ring’s features. They said it will have ECG functionality, which can monitor your heart’s electrical activity to track health and sleep information.

ET News mentioned that the ring will be available in 8 different types, but it’s not clear what this means exactly. It could mean that the rings will come in 8 different sizes to fit various finger types. However, it’s not clear how the sizing will work yet.

The main smart ring on the market right now is the Oura Ring, which will likely be the main competition for the Galaxy Ring. There are signs that Apple might also be working on a similar device, based on some patents they’ve filed, but there’s no official confirmation yet.

The idea of a July release for the Galaxy Ring seems unlikely, but a Samsung executive mentioned on LinkedIn that the ring would be released in the second half of 2024. However, this post has been removed.

We’ll have to wait until we can test the Galaxy Ring to know exactly what it can do and if it’s worth buying. If you’re eager for a ring-style tracker, you might consider the Oura Ring instead.

We tested the Oura Ring for a year and were impressed by its fitness and sleep tracking. However, the battery life could be better. If the Galaxy Ring lasts longer between charges, it could be strong competition.
