MediaTek introduces its T300 Platform at Mobile World Congress 2024, focusing on advanced IoT connectivity solutions

The T300 features an antenna design with integrated RF to extend battery life in 5G devices and reduce development time and costs.

The M60 modem lowers power consumption by up to 60% against LTE Cat-4 alternatives and up to 70% against existing 5G eMMB solutions, aiding manufacturers in enhancing energy efficiency in device deployments across the IIoT, mobile market, security, logistics, and IoT edge devices.

JC Hsu, Corporate Senior Vice President at MediaTek, stated that the T300 leverages 5G’s speed, reliability, and latency advantages while meeting the specific cost and power needs of IoT devices.

The T300 offers downlink/uplink peak rates of up to 227/122 Mbps and supports the 3GPP Release-17 standard 5G modem with features for energy efficiency, including paging early indication and radio link monitoring while active.

It also incorporates an 800 MHz CPU for responsiveness.

T300 features include MediaTek’s UltraSave 4.0 technology for reduced power consumption, 5G NSA and 5G SA support, support for LTE & NR-FR1 (20MHz), up to 256 QAM DL/UL for reliability, 1T2R MIMO / 1CC for lower latency, and dual SIM single active (DSSA) and network slicing for various IoT applications.

MediaTek is working with infrastructure and operator partners globally to connect to 5G SA networks and perform VoNR calls and data transmissions with the MediaTek T300.
